Chicken Chilli combines crispy chicken bites with a flavorful sauce made of soy, garlic, onions, and bell peppers. The best part? You can prepare this recipe at home in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients
For the Chicken
400 g boneless chicken – cut into small cubes
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
1 tsp red chili powder
½ tsp black pepper powder
1 egg (optional, for binding)
Salt – to taste
Oil – for deep frying
For the Sauce
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp garlic – finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger – finely chopped
2 green chilies – slit lengthwise
1 medium onion – sliced
1 medium capsicum/bell pepper – sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp red chili sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp vinegar
½ tsp black pepper powder
Salt – as required
Spring onions – chopped, for garnish
1. Prepare the Chicken
In a mixing bowl, coat chicken cubes with cornflour, all-purpose flour, chili powder, pepper, and salt. Add egg (optional) and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Keep aside.
2. Make the Sauce
In a wok or pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
Add sliced onions and capsicum. Stir fry on high flame for 2–3 minutes.
3. Add Sauces
Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, and vinegar. Stir well.
Sprinkle black pepper and adjust salt as per taste.
4. Mix Chicken with Sauce
Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce. Toss well so that the chicken is evenly coated.
Cook for 2–3 minutes on high flame.
5. Garnish & Serve
Switch off the flame, garnish with fresh spring onions, and serve hot.
