Almonds – 10 to 12 (sliced)

Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Saffron strands – 7 to 8 (soaked in 2 tbsp warm milk)

1. Prepare the bottle gourd

Peel the lauki, remove seeds, and grate it finely.

2. Cook in milk

Heat a heavy-bottomed pan, add milk and grated lauki, and cook on low flame until the milk reduces by half.

3. Add ghee and khoya

Stir in ghee and cook well. Add khoya (mawa) for a rich and creamy texture.

4. Sweeten the halwa

Mix in sugar and stir continuously until well blended. Add cardamom powder and saffron milk for flavor.

5. Add dry fruits
