Masala Chilla: Quick, Healthy, and Delicious Indian Breakfast

Masala Chilla is a traditional Indian savory pancake made from gram flour (besan) and fresh vegetables. It’s protein-rich, nutritious, and perfect for a quick breakfast or evening snack. Masala Chilla

Ingredients:

2 cup gram flour (besan)

2 small onion, finely chopped

2 small tomato, finely chopped

3-4 green chilies, finely chopped

3 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

Salt to taste

Water as required

Oil for cooking

Mint chutney or yogurt to serve

1. Prepare the Batter:

In a bowl, mix gram flour, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Add water slowly and make a smooth batter

2. Add the Vegetables:

Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Mix well to ensure the batter is evenly combined.

3. Cook the Chilla:

Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle a few drops of oil. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it gently into a round pancake shape. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

4. Serve:
